For many years now, every Thursday night I facilitate a community figure drawing session at Lafayette College near my home in Easton, PA. Artists bring whatever supplies they wish to use, and we have a live model posing for us. I mostly work with painted paper collage, or just pencil and paper. But recently I tried something new: I made a series of monotype prints, inspired by Lee, one of our regular models, and also my friend.
“Lee, twisting” monotype, 6 x 4 inches
“Lee, lounging back” monotype, 6 x 4 inches
“Lee, turning away into the darkness” monotype, 6 x 4 inches
“Lee, standing” monotype, 6.5 x 5.75 inches
“Lee, seated with a skull” monotype, 6.5 x 5.75 inches
“Lee, turning away, with a scarf” monotype, 6.5 x 5.75 inches
