Daily Drawing Encouragement
Daily Drawing Encouragement
One week of guidance and encouragement!
This class is available, virtually, anytime, just pick a start date that works for you. It is designed as a one-week class with seven daily drawing prompts that arrive via text. These text prompts take the form of simple drawing assignments that can be completed with pencil and paper in 5-10 minutes. (Although of course, you may work as long as you want.) Students may choose to keep their work private, or they may send photos of their drawings back each day via text for feedback. Virtual support and encouragement will be available each day via texting.
This class includes the option to schedule a 30-minute zoom meeting with me, where we can reflect on the week, talk about your drawings and any struggles or successes you experienced.
The purpose of this class is twofold:
to establish a daily habit of art-making
to explore important drawing concepts such as value, composition, line, and shape in a playful way, and in a way that allows for growth
Materials Needed: a pencil (recommended 4 or 6 B) eraser, pencil sharpener, and drawing paper (a nice drawing notebook is recommended, 6x9 inches is a nice size, but get whatever calls to you)
