This chiaroscuro still life is 11x14 inches, oil on canvas. It comes in a gorgeous quality frame. It depicts a ginger jar and two pomegranates, one of which is broken open, displaying the luscious, glistening seeds within. Six seeds are lined up on the shelf. I talk about the deeper meaning of this painting in my recent blog post: Persephone.

Currently, this painting is part of “Simply Still,” a four-woman art show at the David E. Rodale and Rodale Family Galleries at the Baum School of Art in Allentown PA. The show hangs until February 7th. Contact Kris Kotch for details: kris@baumschool.org
